Sizing:
To find your dog’s size, first measure around the base of the neck, where you want the collar to sit. Then, measure around the widest part of your dog’s head. We take these measurements and adjust from there, so your collar should slide easily over the head. If your dog is super fluffy or if you prefer a looser collar, add 1-2 inches to the neck measurement.
Sustainability:
All of our leather is certified by the Genuine Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Consortium to follow their strict guidelines regarding ethics and quality. They guarantee that the leather has been manufactured with processes compatible with the ecosystem and not harmful to people. All of our packaging is environmentally friendly as well, consisting of recycled and recyclable, and/or reusable materials.
Leather Properties:
It is important to note that each hide is different, and there may be some imperfections that give each piece its own unique character. As you use it, it will continue to pick up scuffs and scratches that develop it into a piece that is uniquely yours.
Please keep in mind that due to the natural properties of leather, it may warp and/or stretch over time, especially if under a lot of stress. Collars with stitching will be a bit more resistant to stretching. We use the highest quality materials and are meticulous in our process, but our pieces are not weight tested or rated. Additionally, without proper care, the leather can become weaker over time.
